The most important questions

How do you operate a bioethanol fireplace?

How to operate a Bioethanol fireplace depends on the type of Burner. The key factor is whether the fireplace is fitted with a manual or automatic Bioethanol Burner.

A manual Burner is operated by hand. It is filled using a funnel, lit with a firelighter and extinguished by smothering the flame. An automatic burner is filled using a pump. Depending on the model, it is controlled using a remote control, via the control panel on the unit, or via an app.

You will find detailed operating instructions in the user manual for your fireplace.

Do bioethanol fireplaces produce real flames?

Yes, Bioethanol fireplaces produce real flames.

Bioethanol burns almost residue-free – no smoke, fine dust or ash. This creates a real view of the flames without the need for traditional wood burning.

What is the difference between manual and automatic Bioethanol burners?

Manual Bioethanol burners are filled, lit and extinguished by hand. Automatic Bioethanol burners are fitted with electronic control systems and, depending on the model, can be operated via remote control, a control panel on the unit, an app or a smart home system.

Automatic burners utilise modern burner technology. Bioethanol is heated in a sealed tank, ensuring that only ethanol vapours are burnt. This enhances safety, as there is no direct contact between the flame and the liquid. In addition, depending on the model, automatic burners are equipped with sensors, automatic ignition, an automatic shut-off function, a controlled pump and safety mechanisms. This ensures precise filling, controlled flame regulation and safe operating conditions.

Manual burners do not require electricity and are easy to use. However, the flame is not automatically regulated or extinguished.
