Are wood stoves and wood fireplaces CO₂-neutral?

The burning of wood is considered to be CO₂-neutral within the natural carbon cycle. When wood is burnt, the same amount of CO₂ is released as the wood absorbed whilst growing and would also have been released had it decomposed naturally.

Can I use a fireplace insert as a partition?

Yes, many of Attika’s wood fireplace inserts can be used as a partition. This allows the fire to be integrated into the living space from several sides.

Suitable models include, for example, the VISIO 3:1, VISIO Tunnel, R-600 RD and R-600 T.

What is the difference between a stove and a fireplace insert?

A stove (figure 1) is a freestanding appliance. A fireplace insert (figure 2) is custom-fitted into a cladding or structural solution.
