Conseils pour le feu
Freestanding or built-in: the design of your fireplace plays a key role in determining its placement, visual impact and the complexity of installation. Attika explains which solution suits your building conditions and your interior design concept.
The choice between a freestanding stove and a built-in fireplace depends on the structural conditions and the desired room layout.
A freestanding wood stove can be positioned flexibly, provided there is a flue tube connection. With Attika’s bioethanol stoves, not even a fireplace connection is required. Thanks to Attika’s customized-concept, colour, form and handle style can be chosen individually, ensuring the stove blends harmoniously into the existing living space.
A built-in fireplace insert is firmly integrated into the architecture and creates an elegant, personalised living ambience. Depending on the room layout, models are available with front, 2-sided or 3-sided glazing, as a tunnel or as a room divider – for a fire experience with exceptional depth and impact.
Installation requirements vary depending on the type of fireplace and the installation situation. A freestanding wood-burning stove can usually be easily integrated into existing rooms – provided there is a flue connection. Built-in fireplaces and gas fireplaces require careful planning and adaptation to the structural conditions. Electric fireplaces and many bioethanol fireplaces do not require a flue tube and therefore offer greater flexibility – whether freestanding or as a permanently integrated design feature. Planning and installation should always be carried out by a dealer to ensure safe and professional installation.
