The most important questions

How long can Bioethanol remain in the burner tank?

Bioethanol should not be left in the burner tank for long periods. In manual burners, bioethanol can evaporate even if it is not burnt. With automatic burners, it is advisable to empty the tank before a prolonged period of non-use. This prevents the alcohol content from decreasing over time or odours caused by aged fuel from developing when the burner is relit.

I’m looking for a decorative fireplace. Which is better: gas or Bioethanol?

If flexible placement is a priority, a bioethanol fireplace is a suitable solution. However, it should not be regarded as a heating appliance.

Bioethanol fireplaces are particularly suitable where there is no traditional wood fireplace or gas connection. Gas fireplaces are a sensible choice if a permanently installed solution is required and the structural requirements for operation with natural gas or liquid gas are met.

Do I need to ventilate the room when using a Bioethanol fireplace – and how often?

Yes, regular ventilation is important when using a Bioethanol fireplace. The exact specifications regarding air exchange depend on the volume of the room.

Please refer to the user manual for details on how often and for how long you should ventilate the room.
