How much firewood should I use?

The amount of firewood required depends on the wood stove, the size of the fire box, the desired heat output and the method of firing. On average, it is around 1.5 kg of firewood per hour.

The exact amount required varies depending on the output and energy efficiency of the wood stove. As a guide, a single log for a wood stove should weigh less than 1 kg. Depending on how it is cut, this usually corresponds to 1 to 2 wood logs.

Can I install a wood stove in a small room?

Yes, a wood stove can also be installed in a small room. It is important that the model, firebox size and heat output are suitable for the room.

For smaller rooms, we recommend wood stoves with a small firebox, such as the compact Q-TEE 2 from Attika. Models made from soapstone or wood stoves with a heat-storage module© are also recommended for smaller rooms.
