The MiniVilla impresses with its simplicity and beauty
A dreamlike ambience, a cosy soft bed, a rainforest shower, a cosy spot in front of the stove and panoramic windows so that you never miss a sunrise or sunset.
One thing is certain: guests like to stay a little longer at the MiniVilla on Lake Forellensee in Gstaad-Zweisimmen.
The original idea of «a hotel room on wheels» was born in 2017 in the minds of Fabian Müller and Kevin Götz. «We had already been tinkering with crazy tree ideas or building huts in the forest during our school days,» says Fabian Müller with a grin. The first major joint project, the «MiniVilla», was created in December 2018.
«We deliberately avoided unnecessary details. It was important to us to create an authentic experience with high-quality materials», explains Fabian Müller, «and the centrepiece of the MiniVilla should be an elegant wood stove.»
«The decision to install the NEXO stove with its straight lines and elegant simplicity in the colour black was absolutely the right one.»
The first location was quickly found in the summer of 2019 - at the wild and romantic Forellensee lake in Zweisimmen. Where the MiniVilla still stands today. «Yes, at the moment it really does seem as if the MiniVilla has settled down for a few years.
The location is perfect and we also had to learn that a tiny house of this size needs to be designed a little differently so that regular changes of location also work in practice,» says Fabian.
The operators of the Unique Hotel in the Bernese Oberland and their guests are delighted.
