NEXO 100 BIO

A fire for any home – no chimney required

The smallest model in the NEXO BIO range is the NEXO 100 BIO. With its striking straight lines and clean design, the stove has a deliberately simple and modern look – typical of NEXO. The generous glass panel draws the eye to the calm, steady flames and lends even small rooms a warm atmosphere. As no fireplace connection is required, the bioethanol stove (often referred to as an ethanol fireplace) can be placed freely without the need for structural alterations.

Operation is intuitive and simple. The Attika BIO App allows you to precisely adjust the flame height, «Eco wave» and timer. The classic remote control also enables direct control of these functions. Depending on the desired effect, the fire box can be fitted with a pure view of the flames, ceramic logs or amber glass stones with black stones granules.

Visually, the NEXO 100 BIO adapts flexibly to its surroundings. With the versatile customized-concept, paint colours, handles and the choice between a steel door or a glass door for the firebox can be individually configured. On request, side windows extend the view of the fire.

The NEXO stove series has been awarded the German Design Award and stands for first-class design.

The NEXO series impresses with a wide range of sizes, designs and fuel options. For Bioethanol, there are the additional models NEXO 120 BIO, NEXO 140 BIO and NEXO 160 BIO.

Wood enthusiasts can choose between NEXO 100, NEXO 120, NEXO 140, NEXO 160 as well as the variants NEXO 160 Soapstone or NEXO 160 Porto with stone cladding. The same models – NEXO 100 GAS, NEXO 120 GAS, NEXO 140 GAS and NEXO 160 GAS – are also available in gas versions.

Note for Switzerland:
For use without a chimney in Switzerland, the appliances are designed for a maximum output of 2 kW. In accordance with this requirement, the «Eco wave» function is not available for appliances in Switzerland.The images shown show flame heights that cannot be fully achieved in Switzerland.

How do you clean a bioethanol fireplace?

A Bioethanol fireplace should only be cleaned once it has cooled down completely. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaning agents.

As Bioethanol burns almost residue-free, it generally produces neither smoke nor ash. However, depending on air currents, the flame may be disrupted, which can occasionally lead to soot build-up. This can be removed with a damp cloth.

Gently wipe down the surfaces and carefully remove any dirt from the burner area.

Does a bioethanol stove get hot, and what safety distances do I need to maintain?

Yes, a bioethanol stove becomes hot during use. Do not touch the glass panels or the top cover plates whilst the stove is in use or immediately afterwards.

The required safety distances depend on the model and the installation situation. Always maintain the minimum distances from flammable materials. You will find the exact details regarding safety distances in the user manual for the relevant bioethanol stove.

Can I also control the Bioethanol fireplace via an app?

Yes, certain bioethanol stoves can be controlled via an app. These include the Attika bioethanol stoves CARO BIO, NEXO BIO and VIVA L BIO, as well as the Denver F6 model.
