A modern form of bioethanol fireplaces – fully customisable

Even where a fireplace connection isn’t possible, the NEXO 120 BIO still brings the warmth of a real fire into your living space. Measuring 120 cm, this wood-burning stove makes an elegant statement in any room. With its clean, architectural design, it remains true to the NEXO style: minimalist, modern and timeless. The generous glass panel offers an impressive view of the calm, steady flames and lends the room a pleasant, cosy atmosphere – without any flue tube, without any effort.

Operating is intuitive via the Attika BIO App, which allows precise adjustment of the flame height, «Eco wave» and timer. Alternatively, the classic remote control provides access to these functions. When designing the fire box, you can choose between a pure view of the flames, ceramic logs or decorative amber glass stones with black stones granules.

The NEXO 120 BIO can also be customised visually. With the versatile customized-concept, paint colours, handles and the choice between a steel door or a glass door for the fire box can be freely combined. On request, side windows extend the fire view and emphasise the stove’s clean lines. Additional comfort is provided by the optional side benches – narrow or wide – which complement the stove’s appearance whilst creating a practical storage surface. They make the area around the fire even more cosy and ensure a harmonious overall look in the room.

The NEXO stove series has been awarded the German Design Award and stands for first-class design.

For Bioethanol, further size variants are available in the NEXO range: NEXO 100 BIO, NEXO 140 BIO and NEXO 160 BIO.

Wood enthusiasts can choose between NEXO 100, NEXO 120, NEXO 140, NEXO 160 as well as the variants NEXO 160 Soapstone or NEXO 160 Porto with stone cladding. The same models – NEXO 100 GAS, NEXO 120 GAS, NEXO 140 GAS and NEXO 160 GAS – are also available in gas versions.

Note for Switzerland:
For use without a chimney in Switzerland, the appliances are designed for a maximum output of 2 kW. In accordance with this requirement, the «Eco wave» function is not available for appliances in Switzerland.The images shown show flame heights that cannot be fully achieved in Switzerland.

Yes, a Bioethanol fireplace is safe when used correctly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Safety also depends on the type of burner.

Automatic burners offer additional safety features. They are not filled by hand and cannot be refilled whilst the burner is still too hot. With manual burners, safe operation is more the responsibility of the user. It is therefore essential to follow the user manual carefully.

Does a bioethanol fireplace need electricity?

Whether a Bioethanol fireplace requires electricity depends on the type of burner. Manual Bioethanol fireplaces do not require electricity, whereas automatic models do.

Manual Bioethanol fireplaces are filled, lit and extinguished by hand. They can be operated without a power source.

Automatic Bioethanol fireplaces require a power connection, as the ignition, sensors and control systems are electrically operated.

How do you operate a bioethanol fireplace?

How to operate a Bioethanol fireplace depends on the type of Burner. The key factor is whether the fireplace is fitted with a manual or automatic Bioethanol Burner.

A manual Burner is operated by hand. It is filled using a funnel, lit with a firelighter and extinguished by smothering the flame. An automatic burner is filled using a pump. Depending on the model, it is controlled using a remote control, via the control panel on the unit, or via an app.
